Since the start of this month, two cyclists have been killed and five injured in Majorca sparking fresh calls for greater safety measures.

Palma.—Over the weekend, two cyclists, a 51-year-old German and a 58-year-old Spaniard were seriously injured in two separate accidents and joined two other  foreign cyclists admitted to  intensive care at Son Espases Hospital.
The Spaniard was involved in a collision with a vehicle near Palma Aquarium while, the German  hit a  pot hole near Alaro and was catapulted into a tree.
Although he was wearing a helmet, that was smashed in half  he suffered serious injuries to his head and face.
And, on Monday, another  cyclist  was seriously injured and rushed to Muro Hospital after colliding with a vehicle along the Formentor road.
