Palma.—In response to a wave of complaints from residents association in the Port of Andraitx, the Local Police were out on patrol yesterday catching and fining cyclists caught urinating in public places.
Over the past few weeks, residents have been outraged by the attitude of groups of mainly German cyclists who have turned some areas of the Port into a giant open air public toilet.
For example, yesterday morning at 10am, four coaches from Alcudia and Can Picafort dropped 200 cyclists off in the Port for a ride to Estellencs. But no sooner had they been dropped off, scores headed for nearby bushes and scrubland.
