Requests for luxury property rentals in the Balearics continue to rise, with the region alongside Catalonia and Andalusia being one of the most popular destinations this year.
Palma.—More and more families visiting Spain are now looking for that extra comfort and properties with saunas, Jacuzzis, gyms, heated swimming pools, outdoor cinemas , air conditioning in the garden, massage rooms, padel courts and private yachts are all now growing in demand.
According to a report published yesterday by a holiday rental website, there has been a 53 percent increase in demand for luxury properties this year compared with 2013.
And this despite, as the website points out, prices ranging from 1,000 euros per night up to 6,000 euros for some of the most exclusive and luxury rental properties, prices far from affordable for many holiday makers.
