Europe’s only cinema festival dedicated to the sea, Maremostra -Palma International Film Festival kicks off in Palma next week.
Palma.—The third edition of the renowned festival, is to be held between 26 and 31 of May and will host for the third year running a contest of short movies recorded with Windows Phone smart phones.
Organisers of the event announced yesterday that those interested in taking part in the contest can now enter their applications.
At the opening ceremony of the event, which will take place on 26 May at the Microsoft Tourism Technology and Innovation Centre (Mictt) headquarters in Parc Bit, contestants will be given a 41 megapixel phone,the Nokia Lumia 1020, to record their short movies.
Movies must be 5 minutes long at most and must be submitted by the 29 May.
The opening ceremony will be followed by a seminar about Windows Phone 8 and tools on how to edit videos.
All the movies will be shown on 31 May at 5.30p.m at CineCiutat.
