Former German tennis star Boris Becker saved his Majorcan home from being auctioned yesterday.

Palma.—Becker recently had his Son Coll finca in Arta embargoed by the courts because he had failed to pay a local constructor 430,351 euros for work carried out to his luxury property.
The court which seized the property threatened to put the estate up for auction should Becker fail to pay the bill and yesterday morning, the tennis star settled the debt, which dates back to 2012, with the building company.
The work carried out included laying down a basketball court, general maintenance and restoration work.
Becker claimed that, as the property was up for dale at the time, and still is, he would settle the bills once the property had been sold.
