Palma.—Palma City Council yesterday confirmed that it made available 350,000 euros more this month to help fight extreme cases of poverty in the municipality.
That means the total amount made available for June is set to reach 580,000 euros.
Julio Martinez, spokesperson for Palma City Council said this extra help is to ensure “those most at risk receive help as quickly as possible.”
Martinez explained that earlier this week, he met with several social workers who help struggling Balearic families on a daily basis to understand the depth of the problem.
