Palma.—Summer security was very much top of the agenda yesterday.
The Mayor of Palma, Mateo Isern, who has been criticised over the lack of law and order in the Playa de Palma this summer, visited the Local Police and emergency service which will be in charge of security and safety in the resort, while the central delegate to the Balearics, Teresa Palmer, held top level talks with the Director General of the Guardia Civil in Madrid over the force’s plans for security this summer in the Balearics.
Palma City Council is in the process of introducing a Good Citizen’s Plan , but that is not due to be in full effect across the municipality until September.
