With residents in El Molinar fighting to prevent the yacht club from being expanded, a public-private venture has been created to transform the yacht club into a viable nautical attraction without having to expand the traditional fishing port.
One of the ideas is to reform an old club house and transform it into a restaurant while there are plans to develop the club in to a tourist, cultural and educational attraction which could be visited by local schools.
