The Mayor of Soller, Carlos Simarro, has confirmed that the first Prawn Fair in Soller was a huge success and denied that it was badly organised and that there was a lack of sufficient parking, although he did admit that the fair attracted far more people than were expected.
Simarro said that initial estimates indicate that the fair generated some 200,000 euros for the local economy because, not only was the fair full, so too were restaurants in Soller and the Port.
