The Albufera wetlands, mostly in Muro, have very little wooded area, but this doesn't prevent them from being the site of regular fires: bush and reeds catch fire. Somehow.

There was another fire this afternoon. It was confirmed around 15.00, was declared Level One risk for a time, then downgraded to Zero and under control by just before six. Various units were deployed, including a Canadair firefighting plane.

The fire was in an area known as Can Comandant to the left of the road from Playa de Muro to Sa Pobla heading in the direction of Sa Pobla.
