The "express" parking at Palma airport arrivals is finally in operation; it was originally meant to have been functioning from last month. The parking is free for the first fifteen minutes and, according to the airports authority Aena, is designed for short and rapid parking that will improve the general flow of traffic and movement of passengers. After fifteen minutes, there will be charges, so Aena recommends using the multi-storey car park instead, albeit that there are of course charges for this. After fifteen minutes, there is a charge of 1.65 euros, which is more than double the tariff for the first half hour in the car park. The charge increases incrementally to a day maximum of 60 euros.
