Will it last?
Dear Sir,
It is certainly good news that the unemployment rate in Spain is falling to 15.8% in May. But it’s a fragile situation. The EU had persuaded Spain to take 500,000 migrants per year, that’s 20% more people than the entire municipality of Palma, year on year, all requiring jobs. At that rate the fall in Spanish unemployment may not last for long.

Scotland Independence
Dear Sir,
The author of the letter printed 3 July, signed David Lee, suggests if Scotland leaves the UK it would be the fault of Brexit, which is quite laughable. As a Scot I can assure him that if the majority of Scots vote to leave the UK, it is for independence from the UK.
Absolutely nothing to do with the vote to leave the EU, in fact we respect that vote.
