The Pollensa council has ordered a halt to building work on six ticket booths in in Puerto Pollensa following a public outcry, according to reports this afternoon.

The council looks set to order a full investigation into the issue and will make a decision at a later date.

Opponents say that the ticket booths are an eyesore and block the sea view. More than 200 people took part in a protest march last month.
