Get you sun-screen ready, temperatures in Mallorca will reach 32 degrees Centigrade this Friday in what could be one of the hottest October days in recent history. The temperatures will also remain high, for Thursday's Bank Holiday.

That is the good news. Friday could mark the end of the good weather with rain and cloud being forecast for the weekend, according to the latest bulletin from the Palma Met Office. A spokesperson for the Met Office said that Thursday and Friday would definitely be "beach days" and what is more local businesses in the resorts are reporting a fantastic end to the season as a result of the weather.

October will go down as one of the hottest on record with temperatures easily passing the 32 degrees Centigrade mark across the island.

Last summer was the third hottest in recent history.
