Traffic cameras have enabled the Guardia Civil to identify the German driver of a BMW who caused an accident on the Palma-Valldemossa road.

The driver undertook a taxi from its right, cut it off and then braked, causing the taxi to collide with the wall of the central reservation before coming to a stop on the hard shoulder.

The taxi driver suffered a serious injury, while the driver of the BMW carried on.

The BMW driver faces charges of reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
