Real Mallorca 2 - Real Zaragoza 2

Mallorca at home to mid-table Zaragoza, a must-win game for the home side apparently. Aren't they all?

So must-win was it that Zaragoza at least matched Mallorca in the first half before Muñoz put the visitors ahead by slamming in from 30 metres some seven minutes before the break.

In the second period, Mallorca came out with sort of guns blazing and Culio - already often a saviour this season - equalised just after the fifteen minute mark before Enrique restored the visitors' lead eight minutes later and Oriol - as Oriol must - was then booked.

The saviour on the night was the Serbian striker Lekic, who came off the subs bench and proved that he really is a striker by heading in with quarter of an hour remaining. Two-all, and that was how it finished, Mallorca leaping to an impressive twelfth in the table ahead of six other teams on the same number of points - fifteen - with some of these other teams due to play tomorrow.

Taxi for Vazquez in this must-win affair just about avoided.
