Real Mallorca 1 - Almeria 0

Mallorca, in 21st position, at home to Almeria in 16th. Nastic and Elche both provided something of a favour by having lost on Friday. So, could Mallorca edge a bit closer to survival?

The home side were all over Almeria to begin with, Lago narrowly heading past after ten minutes. The early control seemed to desert Mallorca, but suddenly it came back when Brandon took Casto in the Almeria goal by surprise with a cross shot to put them ahead just after the half hour.

In the second half, Almeria posed little threat, but goal chances for Mallorca were limited. Campabadal's effort on 60 minutes was the closest they got to a second before Gaspar, just on as a substitute, very nearly equalised. Fidel had an even better opportunity five minutes later but hit wide
