Away in Valencia, Mallorca secured their fourth win in five matches in Segunda B, Group III, thanks to a 39th minute penalty by Lago Junior. The penalty, a clear one, came after the Mallorca nine Abdón was fouled by the Ontinyent centre-back Verdú.

During the first half Ontinyent had two good scoring opportunities, both of which fell to their striker Keita. Mallorca came closest on the half-hour mark when Campos in the Ontinyent goal saved Roige's volley shot from outside the area.

Towards the end of the second period Mallorca were camped in their half. But Ontinyent were unable to create any meaningful chance and finished with ten men when Leomar was red carded in time added on.

With this win, Mallorca are in a second spot with thirteen points, the same number as Elche who have a superior goal record.
