The Andratx Fair, the main day for which is Sunday, places an emphasis on wildlife in the form of birds and sheep.
A rural tradition can seem like a world away from the chic of Puerto Andratx and the yachts, but then so it is in all of Mallorca's coastal municipalities.
There will be a horse show and a great deal of gastronomy, and this year's fair will for the first time feature the FolkAndratx Festival. An initiative by Aires d'Andratx, the local folk dance group, other groups taking part will be Coros y Danzas de Granada and Coros y Danzas Doña Urraca from Zamora.
Folk traditions from Andalusia ad Castile and León will therefore be on display alongside Mallorcan, the invitations to these groups being in reciprocation for Aires d'Andratx having been invited to dance in their cities.
