The Almond Blossom fair attracts a lot of people. | CURRO VIERA
The Son Servera almond blossom fair has been held since 2010 on the estate of Ca s'Hereu, which is now an agrotourism finca but with a history that dates back to the thirteenth century.
This was one of the possessions that came to be owned by the Servera family, who gave their name to what developed as a population centre, then a village and finally a municipality.
Until the 1970s, Ca s'Hereu was a working farm. Almond trees were among what was cultivated. Although the fair's title is almond blossom and there are products made from the blossom, there are also almonds themselves as well as various edible products.
In addition, the fair features an exhibition of old farming machinery, and there will be a folk dance performance at midday.
