Mostra de Cuina de Mallorca is the idea of the CAEB Restaurants Association.

With institutional backing from the Council of Mallorca’s tourism foundation, this initiative is designed to promote the island’s gastronomy by having different ‘routes’ that comprise restaurants in specified areas. The first route starts on March 9 and lasts until March 12; it is in Palma.

Here are the 33 restaurants taking part in Palma route

Bar Cristal, La Balanguera, Safrà21, Sandro, Casa Flor, L'Arancina, Restaurante El Corte Inglés, Gaudeix, Ses Coves de Gènova, Bar Mavi, Las Palmeras, Sa Goleta, La Moderna, Mola Italia, Es Racó de Gènova, Los Maños, Wine and Food, Bar Mónaco, Bar Pigalle, Ca n'Ela Vegan Restaurant, Blat al Sac, Colmado Hispania, Restaurante Ca'n Tito, El Mariscal del Jamón, Restaurant Club Nàutic Portitxol, Oaxley, Taberna La Gloria, Hoyo 10, El Alpendre, Vermutería San Jaime, Izakaya, Schwaiger i Mesclat.

There are four routes in all. The second is the Tramuntana and the North (March 16-19), which is followed by Llevant and Migjorn (east and south) from March 23 to 26 and then by the Pla and Raiguer regions from March 30 to April 2.

Participating restaurants will be offering a three-course ‘menú mostra’ plus a drink for 25 euros and a ‘menú gastronómico’ with courses and at prices they choose. For full details, check the ‘mostra’ website.
