Fortunately with the Christmas markets, they aren’t all on the same day, so there is the opportunity to do the rounds of different ones.
And as Friday is a public holiday, advantage is being taken of this to hold markets. This is the case, for instance, in Puerto Alcudia (where the market is also on Saturday) and in Sa Pobla.
The market in Lluc is on Friday as well as on Saturday and Sunday. Given the location - right by the Sanctuary - this is a Christmas market with a special feel. It hasn’t been said if the Blauets choir will perform, but it is quite possible that it will.
For some markets, the organisation is almost like that of a fiesta or fair because of the range of activities. In this regard, mention goes to Alaro, where there will, for instance, be a host of live music acts on both Saturday and Sunday.
Avoiding this weekend’s rush of Christmas markets is the ever popular market in Puerto Portals, where the lights go on on Thursday (December 14).
