If you are unfamiliar with flamenco chill, there is nevertheless one song with which you may be familiar.
It was released in 2003 and then used some years later for an amazing advert for tourism in Andalusia. The song was 'Ahí Estás Tú' and the group was Chambao.
Closely associated with what has been described as a musical revolution - flamenco chill - which changed lives and not just music, Chambao featured on a Sony release, 'Flamenco Chill Dos' (also from 2003), which embraced the club sound of Ibiza.
Notable DJs/producers from Ibiza who also featured included the Fundación Eivissa (David Ferrero and Pedro del Moral) and José Padilla.
La Mari, the singer, is the real face of Chambao and last year revived the group's name; the first album for nine years came out. They will be performing at the Festival Paco de Lucía Mallorca, and greatly anticipated their performance will be.
