Young musicians on tour are delighted to present their Programm of violin music.

The JC is directed by Mallorcan violinist Isabel Morey Suau and her English husband Neil Fellows, also an accomplished musician.

The violin players, young players aged between 6 and 18 years, are on island from the October 16 until 22 participating in a week’s music workshop and series of concerts where they and a group of young Mallorcan violinists from Pollensa will present works from their current repertoire. As members of the JC, the children receive a solid education on the violin from the age of 3 years both in individual and group lessons whereby they assimilate music over the years as if learning a new native language.

The Camerata have been awarded several prizes for their achievements. This was the case in the autumn of 2022 when the ensemble was awarded the first prize with distinction in the Hamburg Instrumental Competition.

Furthermore there are a number of Camerata members who have won prizes in well known competitions including some at the national level of the Jugend Musiziert competition in Germany.

The colourful programme to be presented will suit all tastes. This includes works from Paganini, Dvorak, Sarasate, Vivaldi and Bach. Something to look forward to is a piece written especially for the JC by WKL, responsible for compositions and arrangements for the famous 12 Cellos of the Berliner Philharmoniker.

Free admission to all events.
