Alexandra Dovgan was born in 2007.
At the age of five she began to study the piano at the Academic Central Music School of the Moscow State Conservatory, since when she has won numerous prizes, such as the 2015 International Safonov Young Pianists Competition. She has taken part in various international festivals and her touring overseas will this year see her at the summer Verbier Festival in Switzerland and debut at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires.
Two years ago, she joined the Balearic Symphony Orchestra as soloist for Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 21; proceeds went to the Red Cross in Ukraine. She is returning for a concert that will feature Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto, Op. 54.
