Daniel Lozakovich is Swedish; his mother is Kyrgyz and his father is from Belarus.

A child prodigy, he made his concert debut as a violinist in Moscow at the age of nine.

In 2016, when he was 15, he was signed by the classical music record label Deutsche Grammophon; he was the youngest musician on the label's roster. His debut album, which featured Bach's concertos for violin and orchestra and Partita No. 2 for solo violin, reached number one in Germany's classical album charts.

Among other highlights of his career so far was being invited to perform at the dinner at the Palace of Versailles to mark King Charles' state visit in September last year.

Joji Hattori, the Japanese violinist and composer who is visiting professor of violin at London's Royal Academy of Music, returns to Palma to conduct the Balearic Symphony Orchestra concert for which Daniel Lozakovich will be the soloist.
