Mallorca has not one but two first-class a cappella groups.
Both of them are in big demand over Christmas, and they duly provide a vocal Christmas experience.
Cap Pela are the better known of the two and have been around much longer than O'Veus - since 1994 in fact. Their show, Turn on the Lights, has been a feature of a Mallorca Christmas for the past couple of years, while their Christmas Day concert at the Manacor Auditorium has become something of a classic. As well as Manacor, they will be performing in Pollensa on Saturday at the Sant Domingo Convent Church.
O'Veus have released an album of songs which form the basis of their Christmas concerts. These include 'White Christmas' and a Christmassy 'What a Wonderful World'. They will be at the Lloseta Theatre, also on Saturday.
