Palma.—On Saturday evening (July 23), Cap Rocat, the most hidden and exclusive hotel in the Mediterranean, will be the venue for a concert by one of the world's greatest sopranos, Sondra Radvanovsky, together with the Balearic Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Pablo Mielgo. This will be the second 'Night of the Senses' concert at the hotel.

Antonio Obrador, the Cap Rocat creative architect of Cap Rocat, the Madina Mayurqa Foundation, and Pablo Mielgo conceived the idea for summer concerts with great figures from the world of opera and classical music at this exceptional hotel. It will be an annual event aimed at music lovers and at becoming a cultural benchmark for the Balearics. Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, the first 'Night of the Senses' was at Cap Rocat in August last year - the Minorcan baritone Simón Orfila, the Mallorcan soprano Irene Mas and the Balearic Symphony Orchestra.

Sondra Radvanovsky, pictured, has been compared to María Callas and Rosa Ponselle. She has sung at the world's leading opera houses, such as La Scala in Milan and the New York Metropolitan. The programme at Cap Rocat will consist of works by the likes of Dvorak, Puccini and Verdi.
Saturday, July 23, 9.30pm; reservations via caprocat.com or eventbrite.es.
