Son Maties beach is situated at seven kilometres from Calvia, between Punta de sa Torre Nova or sa Porrassa and Punta Nadala. A beautiful pedestrian promenade links it to the beaches of Palmanova and “Es Carregador.”

Son Maties is almost half a kilometre long, with fine white sand. It has an excellent range of services (lifeguards, showers, parasols, sunbeds, walkways, ping pong tables…) Furthermore, the fact that it is in an urban area (between Palmanova and Magaluf) guarantees that the people who visit it have all the amenities they may need, including: gastronomic and shopping facilities, accommodation, leisure and other facilities such as playgrounds or sports facilities.

It is very easy to reach this beach, from the motorway in the direction of Andratx, take the Palmanova exit. From there, just follow the route of the promenade until you reach the last beach.

The best area for anchoring a boat on this sandy ground, open to north and northeast winds, is located in the vicinity of “Punta de sa Torre Nueva,” where you will find a sandy seabed, at a depth of between three and four metres.
