Dear Sir,
Message to all war protesters. Much as we are, for the most part against the war in Iraq, now that the killing has started, there is little point in trying to put a stop to the war by marches. Far better to put money where our mouth is and show regret to the Iraqi civilians who have lost their lives and worse still the lives of their children. All protestors from all over the world should contribute to a fund for the benefit of these familiies. No amount of money can compensate for the loss of a loved one, but at least by doing so we will show our compassion and regret for their sad losses. Just may be we will be able to win the hearts and minds of these people, or at least win a little respect.
Who should administer this fund? I leave it open to the thousands of protestors to make their suggestions known. My money would be on the United Nations with the help of the volunteer human shields. If you are in agreement with this idea, please contact all and everyone you think can help to realise this humanitarian scheme. Nothing is impossible if we feel strongly enough about it.
