Bradley Wiggins winning the Tour de France has not only put Britain on the map as a cycling country to be reckoned with, it has also helped to boost Majorca's profile as one of the best cycling destinations in Europe - and again, it has not cost the local government a single cent.
No secret that Wiggins carried out his final preparations in Tenerife and then finally Majorca has been made by Team Sky chiefs.
The team actually chose Majorca to hold the team's press presentation before the Tour and much of that was featured in the documentary which was broadcast on ITV 4 last night about Wiggins.
And, what is more, Shane Sutton OBE, British Cycling Performance Manager, replied to my email sent on Saturday congratulating the team yesterday to say that they can not wait to get out here on holiday.
The former government was quick to make the most of the British team's commitment to training in Majorca after they cleaned up at the Beijing games by honouring gold medal winner Rebecca Romero at the World Travel Market in London.
Now someone in the government should start thinking about how they can now capitalise on British cycling's latest and greatest achievement with Britain about to go cycling crazy.
Wiggins has done all the hard work for Majorca, the Ministry for Tourism has got the easy task, so it needs to get on its bike and do something.
