DEAR SIR

Armed Forces
JASON Moore is wrong in asserting that Great Britain should further impoverish itself to keep the peace in the world.
In the past the British Empire had the resources and the wealth to do just that. It was the United Nations who decided that intervention in Libya was necessary and they should have the means to carry out their decisions. Such a United Nations force could also have a role to assist areas struck by natural disasters.

Who is going to foot the bill for the current intervention? The United Nations who voted for it, or the oil rich countries of the Arab League, who asked for it?

Regards,

Robin Musters
