FOR Airbus's successful maiden flight of its A350-XWB twin-engined commercial jet just a few days ahead of the opening of the Paris Air Show, where it will be regarded as a major competitor of the still troubled Boeing Dreamliner and that company's 777. Apparently Airbus is considering staging an A350 fly-by at Paris, which is just a 90-minute flight from its Toulouse home. The A350 is the first new aircraft from Airbus since the superjumbo A 380 and, unlike that plane, it has nor suffered long delays in its development stages.
