...for the British government's approval of killing badgers which are alleged by farmers to carry bovine TB. There is no hard proof of this and the Independent Scientific Group on Cattle TB (a quango!) concluded that killing badgers would not solve the problem, indeed might make it worse because they would disperse to new areas. Immunisation of cattle at birth is the most practical and cost-effective way of dealing with this longstanding problem.
