I AM writing on behalf of the Clinica Juaneda in response to the letter referring to the problems of the ‘parking attendants' who have taken it upon themselves to direct the cars into parking spaces in the Clinic's public parking area.

These ‘attendants' are not employed by the clinic, but we do, of course, understand the effect that they are having on those who need to visit the clinic. We do apologize for any inconveniences suffered as we would not want any of our patients to feel threatened.

We will be resolving this situation as soon as possible by closing off the parking whereby only patients visiting the clinic will be able to enter, thereby eliminating the possibility for these attendants to ‘move' in again, thus controlling the situation.

I would like to thank those who have taken the time to let us know when something like this happens, as we are continually trying to improve our services and it does help in our quest to keep raising the standards of both our medical care as well as the attention to our patients.

May I take this opportunity to thank those members of the public who use our services and also to remind you that the English Speaking Helpline continues to be of service, as many of you know, it can be used for any medical need, from doctor's appointments to needing ambulances.

Dear Sir,

THREE years ago we bought an apartment in Cala D'or & since then we have commuted back & to on a regular basis. ie: every school holiday & other times as well. UNTIL NOW! Over the years we have used all the cheapie airlines but now find that for the October school holidays the cost of return flights are astronomical. Way out of proportion to the outgoing flights. ie: £9:99 going out & £160:00 return. It seems that all the operators are similar in price & can only reflect on the massive airport taxes being inflicted by Palma airport.

Can anybody comment or prove otherwise? Any help would be greatly appreciated. We hope to fly out on 24th Oct and return on 31st Oct preferably from any of the Midlands airports.
