As devoted travellers to Majorca we would love winter flights but businesses would have to recognise the need to offer services year round.

We took advantage of winter flights for a stay in Palma when available from Newcastle a few years ago and had a pleasant short break but traders would have to be prepared to respond to demand. I can't however see how staying open in winter would be viable for businesses out of the city. The north of the island was definitely in slumber mode during our visit.

An enquiry of a Palma apartment owner if they would do bookings for less than a week met with a disappointing response that they ' may' be willing to consider it but preferred week to week bookings.
