Alan Carleton's holiday was far from cheap - in fact precisely the kind of holidaymaker Mallorca should be seeking. The car hire, food purchasing and holiday spend would be far more than many spend on their all inclusive which doesn't benefit the local economy much except by providing employment ( the kind most locals are too precious to want nowadays). What an insulting reply Mike. Do you think you own the island?
Dear Sir,I am also a non-resident property owner in Mallorca and resent having to pay further taxes such as an Anti-Tourist Tax. This tax will not attract property owners,who spend a considerable amount on the island in addition to local and property taxes.PJ Nally
