IN reply to Mr Arnold, may I point out that Calvia Council did fulfill its electoral manifesto by removing parking metres in the municipality. However, due to selfish and blatant misuse by a sector of the community (ie car hire firms/residents too lazy to use their garages/residents going on holiday) in order to make parking fairer for ALL, some kind of control had to be introduced. A control I may point out that does not incur any form of payment, that is, unless you abuse the system.

PS: May I also suggest the Calvia Council install a camera above the bus stop in Portals Nous village where illegal ‘lazy' parkers will cause a serious accident before very long.
