DEAR SIR

Air Traffic Control
I was looking to make a late booking to come to Majorca for a short break but have booked elsewhere instead. The reason being the potential threat of air traffic controllers industrial action. I am not prepared to be caught up in their arguments.

How dare they hold the Island to ransom. We all appreciate the pressure of the job at times but they are no different from many other people including doctors and medical staff who are paid a fraction of their film star salaries. I myself worked in the emergency services for over 30 years and know what it feels like to be under pressure, but that was my career choice. Perhaps they should be asking themselves if they have made the right choice.

With the rest of Europe trying to compete, Majorca seems to be pushing the self destruct button once more.
