...for the British government's intention to relax adoption regulations to make it easier for white couples to adopt black, Asian or mixed-heritage children. Under existing rules social workers wait to try to find a racial match but this delays the adoption process and at the moment there are 65'000 children in care, many of whom have grown too old to be suitable for adoption. A loving, stable, permanent home should be the first consideration said Children's Minister Tim Loughton.
