Dear Sir, Firstly I have complete sympathy with the owner who has problems with his neighbours renting out their apartments. I think his or her best way forward is to confront them at their community meeting.

I stand by my view that we should be allowed, to pay taxes for rentals to the government, and have legal rentals allowed. I noticed only this week that one of the main Estate Agencies in the north sent us a flyer, with the words “excellent rental potential”.

Does this mean that an innocent party will purchase the property with the understanding of renting, only to be confronted at a later date with the reality that “IT IS ILLEGAL”?
