Litter! "Pick it -- Bin it"

Dear Sir,
Could the Bulletin start a campaign to clean up the island's litter?

Revenue to finance a clean-up campaign could be funded from the tourist tax.

I have entitled the campaign as "PICK IT -- BIN IT", in the hope that the island's residents and tourists see the campaign slogan. Preferably on arrival at the airport.

The kindest of regards,
Stan Jessop
Son Servera

Rubbish. The price of a pint in Palma Nova is the same as it was 10 years ago, while the profit margin has gone from 300% to almost zero.

Prices increased by 50% in Palma Nova ? Where is the evidence ? I live in Son Caliu/Palmanova and have not noticed any significant increase in prices over the past few weeks. I think this article smacks of sensationalism/scaremongering. What has increased in the area is the number of Chinese owned-run shops, all stocking the same rubbish.

My brother had a major stoke over week ago and is on life support in a Palma hospital, his partner is being moved from hotel to hotel by the Axa insurance company, they are not communicating or helping us and we're running low on resources, l have to fly back on wed and she will not cope well alone, would this be a story you could help us with? Thanks
