Race Riots erupt in Spain.

Hundreds of police were deployed to restore order in a small town in southern Spain on Monday after a weekend of anti-immigrant violence, sparked by a killing blamed on a Moroccan. A tense calm descended on El Ejido, where 22 people were injured in two days of clashes between residents and North Africans. There were several attacks on homes of North Africans overnight and some immigrant families sought refuge in local police stations. Violence broke out on Saturday when hundreds marched through the town shouting racist slogans and smashing shop windows after the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old Spanish woman in a market during a robbery.
