The Swedish colony will celebrate the feast of Santa Llúcia tomorrow and pupils of the Scandinavian School have been busy rehearsing. This year, the honour of portraying Santa Llúcia has gone to Ana Robuschi, whose mother is Swedish and father Uruguayan. The fiesta will be celebrated at the school in the morning and, in the afternoon, in Palma, when Santa Lucia, wearing a white tunic and a crown of candles, and her entourage will walk from the Plaza Mayor to Plaza Cort, where they will be welcomed at the city hall by Mayor Joan Fageda. About 45 children aged between seven and 15 will take part in the event. In the Plaza Cort, the municipal band will give a concert at 7.15 and the children will sing carols. There will also be a stall with typical Scandinavian produce. The Scandinavian School is in Villa Schembri. Among the subjects taught are Spanish, English and Catalan and, from the sixth course, German.
