Racial tension on the rise in Ibiza, man thrown from balcony

San Antonio in Ibiza has been the stage for a brutal racial attack in which three Britons are being hunted in connection with a Senegalese man being thrown from a balcony. The attack occurred on Thursday when the Britons apparently became involved in a dispute with the victim and initially tried to attack him with a knife, they then proceeded to force him onto a sixth floor balcony and throw him down. The victim is now critically ill in hospital and police are hunting for the men. There has been much racial tension recently between Britons and Africans on the paradisaical Balearic island. Police report that over the last few years, Africans have been moving into the British drug market, enhancing the racial situation. A number of policemen have been attacked by Senegalese antagonists over the past few weeks and it is reported that the situation is becoming harder to control as the Africans operate in large numbers. This attack comes at a time when Ibizan authorities are making a bid for a different class of tourist to come to the island. They stated two weeks ago that they wanted to encourage visitors to visit the churches and stroll around the villages in the daytime rather than staying out all night clubbing. Ibiza has long been thought of as the best place in the Med for club life, but this year bookings have been much lower than expected. If the pseudo drug war continues, Ibiza could see its season plummet.
