LAZY beach holidays to the Balearics are the best type of break according to the majority of the British public.
A recent survey carried out revealed that 59.8 percent of Britons prefer beach holidays over any other type of break.
Unpredictable British summers are to blame for Brits wanting to get away to beach resorts like Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza. “With the last couple of British summer blighted by rainfall and colder temperatures, it is no surprise that the UK travellers go in search of sunnier climes,” said travel expert Mike Whiting. “Furthermore, it emerged that activity breaks are the second most popular type of holiday, followed by city breaks and ski trips,” added Mr Whiting.
Just five percent said a cruise was their favourite way to spend holiday time - even though this is contradicted by the cruise industry claiming the popularity of on-board breaks was increasing.
