Son Servera.—The town council in Son Servera has complained to the Balearic Minister for the Environment that 20'000 tonnes of recycled water were dumped off a Marjal beach on Costa dels Pins by sewage management company Tragsa.

The company are in charge of the treatment plant of sa Bassa de Sant Jordi which channels recycled water to agricultural land for irrigation purposes Environment Councillor Antoni Servera confirmed yesterday. He expressed concern over the possible consequences of the spill which had occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Servera complained that Tragsa had not alerted the council to their actions. The spill was visibly noticeable and aroused comments from visitors.
