Balearic government spokesperson, Rafael Bosch, admitted yesterday that the regional government is considering following the lead taken by other autonomous governments and reduce the number of MPs during his current legislature in order to try to reduce public spending even further.

For example, in Castilla-La Mancha on the mainland, they have halved the number of MPs.
Bosch did however underline that the government is also looking at wage cuts and reductions in expenses but cutting the number of MPs remains a possibility if needs be.
