Palma.The Operation Kabul hearing , the largest ever narcotics case in the history of the Balearics with over 55 suspects involved, has reached about half way and so far, 27 alleged drug dealers could be facing total sentences of 138 years if found guilty.
All of the 27 suspects are members of various Son Banya based drug cartels, all of which are involved in the Operation Kabul case which could carry total sentences of 697 if all the suspect are found guilty with fines reaching 22 million euros.
The hearing is being held in a specially created court house on the Son Rossinyol industrial estate for security reasons and because no court house can cater for all 55 suspects at the same time.
