BALEARIC president, Francesc Antich said yesterday that once it has finished its drive to make all sectors of the Balearic economy as competitive as possible, it is going to adjust its spending policy to rise to the challenge of the current economic crisis. “We're going to put into practice all the major agreements we've reached with regional industry and institutions up to this point, and we're going to do it through realigning our spending policy in accordance with today's economic constraints,” he declared.

Antich was speaking after awarding certificates of merit to Volunteer Associations at the University Hospital of Son Dureta in Palma, an event at which he was accompanied by regional Employment Minister, Joana Barcelo and Health Minister, Vicens Thomas.
